Thank you for your e-mail message, which we received on May 19th 2004. Due to various circumstances I haven't been able to respond any earlier than today. I herefore offer you my sincere apologies. Especially in the holiday season it proves to be quite difficult to find the right person within our organisation, who can provide the requested amounts. Unfortunately, I have only been able to find the amount of drivers: 2616 This includes all bus drivers, tram drivers and metro drivers. I haven't been able to find the amount of maintenance personnel, but the RET has approximately 3500 employees, which means that there are 884 employees in the offices and in maintenance and this amount also includes the ticket controllers. Again, sorry for not having responded any earlier. I hope this answer will help you to complete your paper.
